NEW ORLEANS, LA – December 21, 2010 – Gibbs Construction, LLC was presented with three 2010 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards and the Platinum Safety Training & Evaluation Process (STEP) Award by Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. (ABC) New Orleans/Bayou Chapter at its annual ceremony, held November 17, at Chateau Golf and Country Club in Kenner, Louisiana. The competition recognizes the year’s outstanding regional projects.

Good communication and collaboration among Gibbs, the design teams and owners were key.”

This year, ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter acknowledged 24 Excellence awards, 12 Gold awards, and two Silver awards. The panel of judges represented a cross-section of construction industry experts, including owners, architects, engineers and other industry leaders. Judging criteria include contracted scope, project narrative, safety, references, photographs and supporting project materials. Gibbs Construction has entered its regional winning entries into the national competition to be presented at the ABC 2010 Excellence in Construction awards ceremony on February 22, 2011, at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida.

ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter awarded six Platinum, 10 Gold, and three Silver Safety Training and Evaluation Process awards.
