Gibbs Construction Hires New Director of Preconstruction

Gibbs Construction has hired Matt Moore as director of preconstruction. Moore comes to Gibbs Construction with 22 years of field construction and leadership experience. Previously, Moore was vice president and executive in charge at American Constructors, a large commercial general contractor in Nashville, Tennessee.

In his role with Gibbs, Moore will directly oversee successful completion of all preconstruction phases of projects including estimating, construction feasibility, value engineering, and design-build project management. Moore’s responsibilities will also include subcontractor relations, strategic planning and business development.

During his time at American Constructors, Moore managed the successful completion of over $300 million in construction projects in Tennessee and the southeastern United States, including 18 primary and secondary public schools, multiple private schools, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, university housing, libraries, and community centers.

Moore graduated cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in construction management.
