The West Chemical Laboratory is a new construction 18,000-square-foot quality control laboratory and ancillary offices adjacent to a newly constructed chemical plant. The laboratory contains 28 chemical fume hoods and 5 general exhaust valves to maintain flow, 20 snorkel exhaust valves and pressure relationships in the chromatography laboratory, wet chemistry laboratory and water laboratory.
The East Chemical Laboratory project consists of demolition and renovation of a 24,000-square-foot quality control laboratory and ancillary offices of an existing building with a newly constructed 2,500-square-foot mechanical room. The laboratory contains 36 chemical fume hoods and 8 general exhaust valves to maintain flow, 14 snorkel exhaust valves and pressure relationships in the alumina laboratory, shipping laboratory, receiving, wet chemistry laboratory and chromatography laboratory.
