Hodges Hall Dormitory

DESCRIPTION:
This renovation and conversion project consisted of adapting a 1930’s five-story highly decorative concrete dormitory building totaling 72,500 sq. ft. into campus faculty office space, student newspaper and radio station offices, as well as classroom and meeting rooms. Demolition involved approximately 25% of interior walls and two stairwells. New walls were constructed for offices and restrooms. Complete interior demolition and replacement of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing was accomplished. All new finishes were installed on walls, ceilings and floors. A new ornamental five-story elevator tower was added at the rear for ADA compliance.
