DESCRIPTION:
Gibbs Construction was contracted by the State of Louisiana – Facility Planning and Control Office to perform and furnish all necessary labor and materials required to build, construct and complete the expansion and repairs for the Community Based Program – Juvenile Justice Improvements at the Bridge City Center for Youths in Bridge City, Louisiana.
The project was initiated on a phased schedule which included Phase I – Construction of the 3 new residence halls and the dining hall; Phase II – Renovation of the first existing dormitory; and Phase III – Renovation of the second existing dormitory. This phasing was necessary to have finished facilities to allow for the coordination and movements of juvenile inmates to new secure facilities without interruption of services within the facility.
