DESCRIPTION: East Jefferson Ambulatory Surgery Center was a renovation of an existing medical facility that included old operating rooms, patient rooms and offices. We removed many of the existing walls to facilitate more patient rooms (20 total) and more office and staff space. The existing operating room, holding and recovery rooms were updated with all new finishes. We added one new nurses station and updated the millwork on two other stations. The existing air conditioning was supplemented with roof top units to properly condition the renovated operating rooms. The existing medical air and vacuum pump were replaced and updated to handle the new requirements of the entire building. The total square footage of the renovation was approximately 22,000 square feet.
