New Orleans, LA
DESCRIPTION:
This redeveloped historic property houses twelve elegantly-appointed condominiums. The building’s most stunning transformation occurred by the dismantling of the aluminum facade that had been obscuring the beautiful circa-1920 Italianate structure for decades. The removal of the panels allowed for the addition of balconies. The interior is entirely new construction and includes extremely high-end, custom finishes. The 45,000-square-foot building was originally two different edifices. The project added a sixth-floor penthouse to the five-story building and a fourth and fifth floor to the three-story building. The now fifth-floor roof of the shorter building serves as a vast terrace for one of the two penthouse units set back from the roofline on the new sixth floor of the higher structure.
