DESCRIPTION:
This project consisted of building 63,621 square feet of new 5-story poured-in-place concrete floor space between two existing buildings. Additionally the interior renovation of 58,480 square feet of the existing space, to create a total building square footage of 115,101 square feet. The construction of individual studios on the second and third floors of the Bradford Furniture warehouse, and the third floor of the Bradford Furniture store.
The building serves as the main office space for the Arts Council of New Orleans and encompasses individual art studio space in an incubator setting. The building also contains a Raku kiln, approximately 50,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, a retail food service area and a 5th floor board room and rental space.
