DESCRIPTION:
The project was comprised of construction of 15 buildings, with 130 living units, for the purpose of housing enlisted, unmarried personnel on base at the Naval Air Station in Belle Chase. Construction consisted of slab on grade with lightweight concrete elevated decks, structural metal framing, brick veneer exterior and standing seam metal roofs. State-of-the-art electrical and mechanical equipment was incorporated in accordance with the quality of life standards and utility conservation required by the Navy. Administrative areas, laundry facilities and a multipurpose room were also included.
