DESCRIPTION:
Renovation of the 50,000-square-foot, three-story, 78-unit Bachelor Officer’s Quarters building included modernization of the units to a 1+1 standard with two private sleeping/living rooms each with closet, kitchenette, semi-private bathroom with shower or tub, laundry, housekeeping or storage rooms, selective demo of interior partitions. Alterations included site work, landscaping, asbestos abatement and demolition. New construction and work included landscaping, carpentry, doors and windows, glazing, gypsum board, ceramic tile, resilient tile flooring, carpet, painting, new partition walls, electrical including new MDP, emergency lighting, security system, communications, CATV, fire alarm, and DATA. New mechanical amenities include new boiler, rework AHUs and VAVs, complete overhaul of plumbing, site drainage, automatic sprinkler system, and DDC control system. The building received a complete renovation of kitchen/dining areas with seating capacity for 120 persons.
