DESCRIPTION:
The Marine Corps Reserve Training Center is a 33,465 sq. ft. building, supporting all aspects of training, recruiting and administration of the Marine Corps TOW Platoon, 23rd Marines, 4th Marine Division reserve unit. Building construction is a structural steel frame with masonry exterior, TP/FP features standing seam metal roof and metal roll up doors for Humvee motor pool. The new building houses office space for the Marine Corps Reserve administration office, instructor-inspector suites and platoon leaders. The building also features classrooms, an assembly (drill) hall, armory, medical unit, exercise area, conference rooms, toilets, locker rooms, showers, storage and a four-bay vehicle maintenance facility. The basic massing of the facility is centered around the high bay drill hall, with the hall as the nucleus and the remaining rooms arranged around it based upon desired agencies prescribed by the Marine Corps.
