Guste Low Rise Revitalization

DESCRIPTION: gust-low-rise The buildings are wood framed; two-story duplex, triplexes and fourplexes with wood truss roof framing.  The exterior is veneer siding with Fypon window and door treatments, with wood deck balconies.  The interior finishes are residential standard, complete with painted wall and wood trim, plastic laminate counter tops and wood cabinets. The project includes two, three and four-bedroom models.

Guste consists of 25 separate structures containing 82 living units.  The project was constructed in three phases permitting occupancy by residents in the first phase while the construction continues on the later phases.  Block #1; bordered by MLK Blvd., Thalia, Liberty and LaSalle Streets consists of nine structures with 30 living units.  Block #2; bordered by MLK Blvd., Thalia, LaSalle and Freret St. consists of 9 structures with 26 living units.  Block #3, bordered by MLK, Thalia, Freret and Robertson Streets consists of 8 structures with another 26 living units.
