DESCRIPTION:
These two adjacent complexes were the first step of a neighborhood revitalization plan. The repair and renovation of 280 units, throughout 40 buildings on this 15-acre site included new exterior facades, roofing, stair, rail and landing repair, underground plumbing and a complete refurbishing of the interiors including all new flooring, kitchens, baths, paint, and appointments. The confluence and cooperation of the client/architect/contractor enabled the project phases to be successfully completed then immediately occupied, leaving behind a “new” neighborhood in old Algiers, while working around the occupied units.
