The land was attained by Baumer Foods/Crystal Preserves, which is locally famous for its jelly, hot sauce, mustard and other condiments. The Preserve, which also takes its name from one of their infamous products, provides 183 units, including 28 handicap units, 57 affordable rate units, and 98 market rate units. The exterior of the building is brick veneer, stucco, and hardi siding. The interiors of the units are finished with wood, carpet and tile flooring. The building has two secure, landscaped courtyards and a swimming pool. The total square footage is 270,000 feet with 199,000 square feet of living space.
